Global Learning Charter

Recently, more than 200 organisations across the UK, including charities, trades unions, businesses and schools have backed an initiative that emphasises the importance of global education in tackling the world’s problems. They signed up to the Global Learning Charter at an event in British Parliament yesterday (23 February).

The Charter, organised by the education charity DEA, supports the idea that learning can help tackle some of the global issues that the world collectively faces, such as climate change, poverty and religious conflict.

The Charter is well written and articulate. I would recommend checking it out in its entirety here and getting some background on it here.

I wouldn’t mind drafting a NZ version of this and getting our NGOs and schools to sign-on!
